SCHEME OF EXAMINATIONS & PROMOTIONS

The system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation is followed from Classes I to X. The academic year is divided into two terms. The pupil's progress is assessed throughout the year through Formative Assessments (pen and paper tests, oral and group activities etc.) and at the end of each term through Summative Assessments. Students are graded on a nine-point scale and a minimum grade D is necessary to be declared 'Pass' in each subject.

CLASSES I - V

Internal Assessment through out each term.

CLASSES VI - X

Formative Assessments throughout each term, two term-end Summative Assessments.
Term 1 FA-1 (10%) + FA-2 (10%) SA-1 (30%) = (FA + SA) = 50%
Term 2 FA-3 (10%) + FA-4 (10%) SA-2 (30%) = (FA + SA) = 50%
Grand Total Term 1 (50%) + Term 2(50%) = 100%

Promotion to the next class is on the basis of the student having scored a minimum of 25% in SA / Written Examination as well as an Overall Percentage of 33% (FA+SA ) in each subject.
