REPUBLIC DAY 2022

The 73rd Republic Day was celebrated by students of Classes Pre-Primary to XII with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The celebrations began on 25th January 2022 with programmes held in all classes of the school.

An engaging skit presented by students of Classes VI to XII re-lived the days when the Constitution of the country was being written and the hopes with which it was given to the country by the early visionaries. The diverse culture of India was brought to life through Classical dance performances. Patriotic songs beautifully rendered by the students left the audience asking for more. Students were made aware of the contribution of the unsung heroes of our nation through a group discussion. They were encouraged to express their hopes and aspirations for the nation through poems and speeches.

The Flag-hoisting ceremony was organised in the school premises on 26th January 2022. Students, teachers and parents joined the celebrations online, through Microsoft Teams.

The school prayed for the nation, its leaders of the present and the past, and for our soldiers and paramilitary forces who protect the country and its borders.

Head Boy, Anshuman Bharadwaj, and Head Girl, Vithi Singh, in their addresses, encouraged everyone present to uphold the values of the Constitution.

The programme included a patriotic song by the choir and dance presentations by several students. The audience also learnt about the National War Memorial in Delhi.

Winners of the Veer Gatha Project were announced and applauded by all. The Principal, Ms. Esther Mani, addressed the audience and urged them to be committed to the responsibility of nation building by being law abiding and displaying integrity in their work and attitudes.
