THANKSGIVING ASSEMBLY

17 December 2024

The Thanksgiving Assembly was held on 17 December 2024 in the school auditorium. The assembly began with a welcome note highlighting the importance of gratitude and its role in creating a positive outlook in life. The opening hymn, "Thank You, O Lord, Your Love is Boundless", was a melodious reminder of the infinite love of God. It was sung with great fervour and reverence by the school choir.

Special prayers for wisdom, students, teachers, families and school were read out by the teachers. The Head Boy and Head Girl expressed their thanks to the Almighty for all the provisions, blessings, and His eternal love. Their words reflected the collective gratitude of the school community.

The Bible verse highlighted the significance of gratitude in everyday life. A beautiful duet was presented by our students, Prerna Pillai and Joanna Verghese. This was followed by a special dance presentation on the song, "I Want to Say Thank You," conveying the message of joy and gratitude. An inspiring Thanksgiving message was delivered by the Principal, Ms. Esther Mani, urging everyone to acknowledge their blessings and nurture a culture of gratitude in all aspects of life.

Thanksgiving visits to Charity Homes

As part of the Christmas Thanksgiving efforts of the school in December 2024, students from various classes visited 5 charity homes – Prem Daan Missionaries of Charity Home for Women, Mother Teresa Jivan Jyoti Home Orphanage, Silver Linings School for the Blind, Grace Homes Orphanage and School and the Lott Carey Baptist Mission HIV/AIDS project. Each visit served as a powerful reminder of the blessings we often take for granted.

The students interacted warmly with the children and adults in the Homes. They sang Christmas carols and distributed gifts and chocolates. The smiles on every face was a testament to the joy and love shared during the visit.

These experiences inspired the students to rejoice in all circumstances, practice gratitude, and offer continual prayers for those in need. The Thanksgiving Programme not only brought joy to the lives of those visited, but also instilled a sense of compassion and responsibility among the students. It was a profound opportunity to witness the transformative power of love and service, reinforcing the true essence of the Christmas spirit.
